About the opportunity :

We are hiring a Senior Business and Regulatory Data Analyst to join the EU Markets team. You will work closely with the Strategy & Operations and Reporting teams.

You will support developing actionable analyses to enhance the growth and efficiency of N26 in European markets and develop data models for reporting to Regulators and Authorities. You will liaise with main suppliers to structure reporting flows and contribute to a critical function of the bank.

This role offers the chance to collaborate with an international team of data analysts and regulatory reporting officers, providing a platform to contribute to data and business foundations.

In this role you will :

• Match regulatory requirements to data in our DWH
• Build and automate data models for regulatory reporting
• Perform data profiling, identify and request missing data
• Investigate data quality issues
• Define, build, and maintain processes delivering crucial data to stakeholders
• Coordinate with external providers on data and tech issues
• Automate processes where possible and learn about regulator report principles
• Maintain well-documented, reproducible, and reliable work
• Conduct analysis to generate actionable insights for business growth and operational excellence

What you need to be successful :

Background

Minimum 5 years of experience working with data

Fluent in English + Italian or Spanish

Skills

Advanced SQL Skills: Proficiency in querying, data manipulation, and optimization

Ability to write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, CTEs, and window functions

Strong understanding of database normalization, indexing, and query performance tuning

Knowledge of DBT (optional but beneficial): Building, testing, and documenting data models

Optional programming skills in Python for data manipulation and automation

Familiarity with Git for version control
