Job summary

The Badalona Neuromuscular Research Group (GRENBA) of the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) seeks a senior bioinformatician to lead the analysis of massive DNA sequencing data in a biomedical research setting. The role focuses on long-read sequencing, project leadership, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across IGTP and partner hospitals.

Qualifications

• PhD in science or health is required.
• 5+ years postdoctoral experience in the field.
• Experience with massive DNA sequencing data analysis.
• Experience with long-read sequencing (Oxford Nanopore or PacBio).

Responsibilities

• Set up and analyze third-generation sequencing results using Oxford Nanopore Technologies.
• Lead planning, experiments, analysis, interpretation and reporting of results.
• Contribute to publications and research reports.
• Manage research projects and collaborations with hospitals and partners.
