Becoming an exceptional big data developer requires a unique blend of technical skills, passion for innovation, and business acumen.

Our dynamic team seeks a highly skilled big data developer to join our key regulatory & compliance tech team within Banco Santander's SCIB division.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and design strategic solutions
• Work across the full software lifecycle: analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment
• Optimize and secure code using static application security testing (SAST), Sonar, and threat modeling
• Manage documentation and application lifecycle management (ALM) tools
• Execute and support testing phases and incident resolution
• Promote release cycles and ensure production readiness

Required Skills & Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a big data developer
• Fluent in Spanish and English
• Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Mathematics, or related field
• Solid knowledge of Java / JavaScript, Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools, Databases (Oracle PLSQL, PostgreSQL), GitHub, Agile methodologies (Jira, Confluence)
• Desirable skills: Kafka, Flink, Drools, Microservices (Spring Boot), OpenShift, DevOps practices, knowledge in S3, Elastic, Angular
• Experience in Regulatory Reporting is a significant advantage
