The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, with a focus on building scalable, secure, and efficient systems. This role requires a proactive problem solver who excels in designing integrations, managing cloud infrastructure, and delivering solutions that meet complex business needs.

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java (Spring Boot) as the primary language.
• Develop and deploy applications on AWS infrastructure, using services like ECS and Lambda.
• Integrate with external partners, handling complex onboarding processes and ensuring seamless operation.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to inform architectural decisions.
  
• Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to other team members.
• Monitor and improve system performance using tools like Datadog and PagerDuty.
• Build and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement authentication and authorization solutions leveraging identity services (e.g., Auth0).

What we're looking for:

• 6/7+ years of experience in software development.
  
• Proficiency in backend development with Java (Spring Boot) and AWS services.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., ECS).
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform.
• Familiarity with GitHub workflows for CI/CD.
• Strong knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols, including OAuth and identity services like Auth0.
• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting systems using tools like Datadog.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with Node.js or Go.
• Knowledge of customer lifecycle management (CLM) systems.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
• A self-starter mindset with a track record of driving projects to completion.
• Familiarity with incident response and on-call processes using PagerDuty.
• Expertise in integrating with external partners and handling partner onboarding processes.

Location: Spain or Portugal (remote)

The position requires travel to the UK for project-related activities.
