Seqera seeks a Senior Software Engineer to own the backend layer that turns computational capacity into configurable, billable services across AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, HPC schedulers, and GPU runs. You will shape an application layer that powers Seqera Intelligent Compute and its platform integrations.

You’ll collaborate with product, platform, and infra teams, design data models and APIs, and ensure reliable provisioning, multi-tenant usage tracking, and transparent metering.

Formación

• 4+ years building and operating production backend services.
• Strong in Java and/or Groovy, with Micronaut or Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider's API.
• Kubernetes experience with actual workloads.
• Care about data correctness, especially in billing or metering.
• Design REST APIs and data models across services and releases.
• Accountable for customer-facing production systems.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and self-driven work.
• Open to using AI in everyday engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Build and own integration between Seqera Intelligent Compute and the Seqera Platform.
• Own Platform compute environments across AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, HPC schedulers, and GPU.
• Work with cloud provider APIs and handle partial failures and quota issues.
• Own the billing and pay-as-you-go path with accurate metering and invoices.
• Design data models and APIs that stay consistent across services.
• Make failures legible and add tests and observability for faster diagnosis.
• Collaborate with Platform, product, and support on escalations from customers.
• Document the system so it does not depend on a single person.
