Job summary

Seqera Labs in Barcelona seeks a Senior Software Engineer for the Unified Compute team. You will own the application layer that turns compute into configurable, billable offerings across AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, HPC schedulers, and GPU workloads.

You will design data models and APIs, build cloud integrations, and own end-to-end provisioning and metering, partnering with Platform, Product and Infrastructure to deliver reliable, scalable backends and transparent usage insights.

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineering experience in JVM stack.
• Experience with cloud provider APIs and billing/metring concepts.
• Proven ability to design REST APIs and data models.
• Familiarity with multi-cloud deployments and HPC schedulers.
• Comfort with open-source contributions and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Own the application layer for compute provisioning and billing.
• Build and maintain multi-cloud integrations (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Design data models and APIs across services and releases.
• Improve observability and reliability; manage failures and quirks.
• Collaborate with Platform, Product and Infra teams to deliver outcomes.
