Job summary

Affim is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Comms Core) to own and deliver backend services for high-volume, multi-region communications. You will design, implement, and operate reliable systems, collaborating with product, design, analytics, and security teams to balance customer impact and technical constraints.

You will lead integrations with external messaging vendors and improve observability, reliability, and on-call readiness while mentoring peers and shaping the architecture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in software development/engineering.
• Experience designing scalable backend services and APIs.
• Proficiency with Python, Kotlin or similar languages and modern tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly technical goals for the Communications area.
• Design and evolve backend services for high-volume multi-region, multi-tenant communications.
• Collaborate with product management, design, analytics, security, and engineering partners.
• Develop resilient integrations with external messaging vendors and ensure observability.
