Job summary

Commit is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our engineering team. You will build high-performance, scalable backend systems using Python, while leveraging Kubernetes for orchestration and AWS for cloud deployment.

You will help design architecture and drive technical strategy across product development. The role requires 7+ years of backend experience, strong knowledge of microservices, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure software

Qualifications

7+ years of professional backend development experience.
Proficiency in Python (Django experience a bonus).
Deep knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s) for container orchestration.
Experience deploying cloud solutions with AWS services (ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS).
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and maintain robust backend applications using Python (Django a plus).
Design and implement scalable microservices architectures to support business needs.
Leverage AWS services to design, deploy, and operate cloud-based applications.
Work with Kubernetes to deploy and manage containerized services.
Ensure backend performance, reliability, and security to meet business requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and strategy.
Identify and troubleshoot complex issues to improve system efficiency.
