Fotocasa Group, a Spain-based real estate tech leader, is hiring a Backend Engineer for its tech team in Barcelona. You will lead technical direction, design scalable microservices, and mentor engineers to raise engineering standards across the organization.

We value hands-on experience with Kotlin/Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka, and you will work in a hybrid model with strong ownership and cross-team collaboration.

Formación

• 8+ years of backend development, with large-scale distributed systems experience.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java and architectural design of microservices.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot/Spring Cloud and AWS services in production.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and observability tools.
• Strong CI/CD practices, SOLID principles, testing, and security awareness.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsabilidades

• Lead technical direction within your product team and architect scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with teams to analyze problems, propose solutions, and reduce ambiguity.
• Validate hypotheses with iterative solutions, experiments, and fail-fast approach.
• Drive technical evolution, adopt emerging technologies, and raise engineering standards.
• Coordinate across teams to deliver integrated solutions aligned with business goals.
• Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and promote engineering excellence.
• Own cross-team initiatives linking product strategy with technical implementation.
• Understand end-to-end product experience and ensure tech decisions drive business impact.
