TOPPAN Digital Language is seeking a Senior Software Developer / Backend Engineer to reduce operational complexity through automation and pragmatic software design. You will build backend services, microservices, and internal tooling that deliver measurable efficiency across core programs, with AI-enabled solutions embedded into platforms and workflows.

Location: Madrid or Seville. Hybrid model (3 days in the office, 2 days at home).

Formación

• 6+ years of senior software development experience.
• Backend development using JVM languages (Java/Groovy) and/or Python.
• Experience building, deploying, and operating microservices in production.
• Hands-on Docker and containerized deployments; cloud platform experience.
• Relational DB (SQL) and NoSQL knowledge.
• Experience designing clean, well-documented REST APIs.
• End-to-end ownership from problem definition to delivery and optimization.
• CI/CD experience and automated testing practices.

Responsabilidades

• Lead automation initiatives to reduce operational complexity and manual effort.
• Shape technical solutions end-to-end from problem definition to delivery and optimization.
• Build and operate backend services, microservices, and internal tooling.
• Apply senior engineering judgement in collaboration with product and operations stakeholders.
• Contribute to innovation by implementing automation and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Set and uphold engineering standards including API design and service boundaries.
• Ensure solutions are observable, reliable, and measurable.
• Mentor and provide technical direction to the team; review code and designs.
• Communicate complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
• Adapt scope and priorities in response to changing operational needs.
