Yapily Ltd in Málaga, Spain is seeking a senior backend engineer to shape our core Open Banking platform. You will design scalable Java services and APIs, lead AI-native workflow adoption, and align technical roadmaps with product goals.

You’ll collaborate across teams to ensure secure, high-velocity delivery while expanding expertise in Open Banking/PSD2 and maintaining open API standards.

• Expert-level experience with Java and the Spring Framework.
• Proven track record in distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Eager to drive AI-native development workflows by integrating AI coding agents.
• API-first product mindset with focus on customer outcomes.
• Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced startup environments.
• Strong communication bridging engineering and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Architect and oversee highly scalable, secure web applications, services, and APIs.
• Champion AI-native development workflows to improve developer velocity and code quality.
• Partner with Product Managers to shape the technical roadmap and translate requirements.
• Define technical standards and lead robust code review processes.
• Collaborate with Support/CSM to troubleshoot and resolve critical issues.
• Deepen Open Banking and PSD2 expertise across APIs.
