The Engineering team at Veriff is dedicated to building software that addresses the online identity crisis in a scalable and innovative way. We are looking for a talented individual to join our Governmental Registries team as a Senior Backend Engineer.

In this role, you will be a key contributor to extending use cases through integrations with governmental registries, focusing on backend technologies. You will work with a variety of technologies to make the internet safer. We seek a product-minded individual with a strong vision to lead the team and face challenges proactively. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test software applications or systems using Python and TypeScript.
• Create high-quality, well-tested code with modern frameworks and abstractions.
• Deepen your understanding of relevant product areas, codebase, and systems.
• Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, programming, and software engineering.
• Address problems of moderate scope by developing core backend components.
• Collaborate with other teams, share innovations, and incorporate new ideas.
• Conduct design and code reviews.
• Identify and implement necessary changes to codebases, product areas, or systems.
• Complete medium to large features independently, managing multiple tasks and milestones.

Ideal Candidate:

• Has over 5 years of experience building large-scale applications.
• Has long-term experience in Python and/or NodeJS with TypeScript and is eager to learn both.
• Has ownership experience of specific components, features, or systems.
• Has a proven track record of developing, debugging, and deploying software on large codebases.
• Holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
• Can inspire growth within teams by setting new standards.
