The Engineering team at Veriff is dedicated to building software that addresses the online identity verification challenge in a scalable and innovative manner. We are seeking a talented and experienced individual to join our Governmental Registries team as a Senior Backend Engineer.

In this role, you will significantly contribute to Veriff's innovation by developing integrations with governmental registries, focusing on backend technologies. You will work with a diverse set of technologies to help make the internet safer. We are looking for a product-minded professional with a visionary outlook, ready to lead and tackle challenges proactively. Join us in this exciting journey!

Responsibilities :

1. Design, develop, and test software applications using Python and TypeScript.
2. Write high-quality, well-tested code utilizing modern frameworks and abstractions.
3. Enhance understanding of relevant product areas, codebase, and systems.
4. Apply data analysis, programming, and software engineering skills to solve problems.
5. Develop core backend components for moderate scope problems.
6. Collaborate across teams, share innovations, and incorporate feedback.
7. Conduct design and code reviews to maintain quality standards.
8. Identify areas for improvement and lead changes in codebases or systems.
9. Complete medium to large features independently, managing multiple tasks and milestones.

Ideal Candidate :

• Has over 5 years of experience in building large-scale applications.
• Possesses long-term experience with Python and/or Node.js with TypeScript and is eager to learn both.
• Has ownership of specific components, features, or systems.
• Has a proven track record of developing, debugging, and deploying software on large codebases.
• Holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Can inspire team growth by setting new standards.
