PQE Group, a world leader in pharmaceutical and medical device industries, seeks an experienced Automation Engineer for its Barcelona-based team. The role focuses on development, modification, commissioning, and validation of industrial automation systems, with emphasis on PLC, SCADA, and batch processes.

Based in Barcelona, the initial project will be in El Masnou, with opportunities across multiple PQE Group projects.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation.
• Proven experience with PLC, SCADA, HMI, Batch systems, and industrial historians.
• Experience with Schneider Electric Unity Pro / EcoStruxure Control Expert and Proficy iFIX is a plus.
• Knowledge of industrial automation networks.
• Familiarity with GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, GMP computerized systems, and validation requirements.
• Experience in commissioning and validation support.
• Fluent Spanish and good command of English.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze functional requirements and develop/update technical documentation.
• Develop, modify, and support PLC, SCADA, HMI, Batch, and electronic process reporting systems.
• Manage technical changes and provide troubleshooting and technical support to Production, Engineering, and Quality.
• Perform and support commissioning, FAT/SAT, field signal verification, and functional testing.
• Support validation activities, including IQ/OQ protocols executed by third parties.
• Resolve issues related to automated and computerized systems.

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to support the development, modification, commissioning, and validation of industrial automation systems, with a particular focus on PLC, SCADA, Batch, and process control systems.

Although the position is based in Barcelona, the initial project assignment will be based in El Masnou. Upon completion of the project, the candidate will be assigned to other projects based at our Barcelona office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Analyze functional requirements and develop/update technical documentation.

• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation, preferably within the pharmaceutical or other regulated industries.
• Proven experience with PLC, SCADA, HMI, Batch systems, and industrial historians.
• Experience with Schneider Electric (Unity Pro / EcoStruxure Control Expert) and Proficy iFIX is a plus.
• Knowledge of industrial automation networks.
• Familiarity with GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, GMP computerized systems, and validation requirements.
• Experience in commissioning and validation support.
• Fluent Spanish and good command of English.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
