Role Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes involving machining, assembly, and testing. They develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, leveraging knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling, and production. They analyze and enhance quality, cost, and delivery using Lean and Six Sigma tools, and provide engineering support by troubleshooting technical issues in production.

Your Responsibilities:

• Investigate project and capital equipment proposals, develop justifications, prepare expenditure requests, acquire and install equipment, ensuring goals are met.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Supervisors to achieve company goals.
• Specify and acquire supplies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Ensure CNC programs are available for new products and customer needs.
• Assist in training operators in CNC programming and tooling skills.
• Ensure tooling and fixtures support customer demand.
• Troubleshoot processes and equipment to minimize production delays.
• Contribute to profit and strategic manufacturing plans, tracking capital projects and expenditures for timely and within-budget completion.
• Stay updated on new developments in machine tool equipment and methods, recommending innovative solutions for throughput and quality improvements.
• Support company objectives and perform delegated duties.
• Enforce safety and environmental policies, ensuring compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations, and managing subcontractors accordingly.
• Demonstrate teamwork and respect in all interactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Profile:

• Proven experience in leading cost reduction initiatives using Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Manufacturing experience.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, engineering drawings, and procedures.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of advanced geometry, trigonometry, algebra, and statistical theory.
• Problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and draw conclusions.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 0-2 years of relevant experience.
