Job summary

The Green Recruitment Company is seeking a Senior Asset Manager to oversee a growing portfolio of renewable energy assets in Spain, including solar PV and BESS projects. The role is based in Madrid and focuses on performance, value optimisation, and complex transactions.

You will manage operating assets, coordinate with O&M and finance teams, monitor KPI performance, and lead negotiations with investors, lenders, and service providers to drive asset value.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in renewable energy asset management, operations, or related roles.
• Degree in engineering, finance or business; MBA is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV and BESS asset operations.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders and complex transactions.

The Green Recruitment Company is in the search of a Senior Asset Manager in work in an international IPP with more than 5 GW of onshore Wind and Solar and BESS projects in pipeline.

The Asset Manager, will manage the investments and portfolio of renewable energy assets and will manage relevant transactions and operations. The role is based in Madrid.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the overall performance of operating renewable energy assets.




• Monitor financial, operational, and contractual obligations to ensure optimal asset value.




• Lead relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, off-takers, and service providers.




• Collaborate with O&M teams to ensure operational excellence, HSE compliance, and contract performance.




• Drive performance improvements through KPI monitoring, best practices, and process enhancements.




• Manage asset budgets, P&L performance, reporting requirements, and support audits.




• Assist with asset acquisitions, due diligence activities, and the integration of new projects into the portfolio.

Requirements:

• Plus 6 years of experience in renewable energy asset management, operations, or a similar role.




• Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA is advantageous.




• Strong understanding of solar PV and renewable energy asset operations.




• Experience with utility-scale BESS assets is an advantage.




• Solid commercial, financial, and stakeholder management skills.




• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving capabilities.
