Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking a Senior Application Consultant SAP SD/CS to lead the SAP SD/CS domain across global transformation projects from Madrid or the Netherlands.

You will partner with stakeholders and SAP experts to design, implement, and optimize Sales and Customer Service processes, driving standardization, continuous improvement, and value delivery. This role blends business insight with IT delivery in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in SAP SD and/or Customer Service.
• Strong functional expertise in SAP SD and SAP CS.
• Experience delivering SAP projects within global organizations.
• Transformation, ERP implementation, or large-scale CAPEX programs.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

• Act as functional lead for SAP SD/CS in CAPEX and transformation projects.

Senior Application Consultant SAP SD/CS

Become a key contributor to our global SAP landscape and help shape the future of Sales and Service processes across JBT Marel. As Senior Application Consultant SAP SD/CS, you will combine deep SAP functional expertise with strong project delivery capabilities, playing a leading role in strategic business transformation and CAPEX initiatives.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, SAP colleagues, and implementation partners to design, implement, and optimize SAP solutions that support our global commercial and service operations. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys translating business requirements into scalable solutions and driving continuous improvement across complex organizations.

About the Role

You are a business-oriented SAP professional with extensive experience in SAP Sales & Distribution and Customer Service processes. You understand how technology can enable business success and enjoy working at the intersection of business and IT.

As the functional lead within strategic projects, you will guide SAP solution design, support implementation activities, and ensure successful adoption of new capabilities. You thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about delivering value through process optimization, standardization, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

• Act as the functional lead for SAP SD/CS within strategic CAPEX and transformation projects
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective SAP solutions
• Lead functional design activities across Sales, Customer Service, and related business processes
• Provide expertise throughout project lifecycle phases including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and hypercare
• Coordinate with SAP consultants, developers, key users, and external implementation partners
• Drive continuous improvement and harmonization of Order-to-Cash and Service Management processes
• Support testing activities, training programs, and user adoption initiatives
• Ensure SAP solutions align with business objectives, architectural standards, and best practices
• Manage enhancements, functional changes, and issue resolution within the SAP SD/CS domain
• Contribute to SAP roadmap development and future process improvements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of SAP SD and/or Customer Service experience, or a Master's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience
• Have strong functional expertise in SAP Sales & Distribution and Customer Service processes
• Understand Order-to-Cash, Service Management, Variant Configuration, and related business processes
• Demonstrate experience delivering SAP projects within global organizations
• Have successfully contributed to transformation, ERP implementation, or large-scale CAPEX programs
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Are able to engage effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders at multiple organizational levels
• Excel in stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration
• Bring a continuous improvement mindset and passion for process excellence
• Communicate fluently in English; additional languages are an advantage
