Ookla, an Accenture company, seeks a Senior Android Engineer to own the Android SDKs for the CQoE and Speedtest platforms. You will work across Kotlin/Java, JNI/NDK, and a shared C++ engine to implement robust network measurement features on millions of devices.

You will design, implement, and maintain SDK features, ensure quality across native and managed code, and drive end-to-end delivery with a proactive, data‑driven mindset.

Formación

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with Android using Kotlin and Java.
• Substantial experience building and maintaining SDKs or libraries.
• Strong data literacy: comfortable writing SQL to investigate production and measurement data, using Python (or similar) for analysis.
• A curious, proactive stance toward AI and modern engineering practices.
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, data analysis skills.
• Strong time management skills and a self-driven work ethic.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain Android SDK features for the CQoE and Speedtest Android SDKs.
• Bridge JNI/NDK boundary to the shared C++ measurement engine across Android, iOS, and embedded targets.
• Bring AI-assisted tooling into coding, QA, and data analysis with guardrails around safety, privacy, security, and verification.
• Stay hands-on with architecture discussions and deliver end-to-end ownership of features and fixes.
• Roll out SDK and measurement changes behind feature flags, perform quality checks, and validate real-world behavior post-release.
