ALTEN Delivery Centre Spain in Barcelona's Sant Cugat del Vallès is seeking an experienced Android developer to design, develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and Java. You will act as the technical reference for the team, mentor peers, and translate business requirements into scalable solutions.

The role requires 8+ years of Android experience, strong knowledge of MVVM/MVI architectures, and REST API integration.

Formación

• 8+ years of Android app development experience.
• Strong Kotlin and Java expertise.
• Extensive Android Studio experience.
• MVVM and MVI architecture knowledge.
• Experience with REST API integration.
• RxJava and asynchronous programming skills.
• DI with Dagger or Hilt.
• JUnit and MockK for unit testing.
• Experience with Git platforms (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket).
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Previous mentoring or technical reference experience.
• Work model: Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Sant Cugat del Vallés office.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain native Android applications using modern development practices.
• Act as the technical reference for the team, providing guidance, mentoring and code reviews.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Design and implement new application features following clean architecture principles.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable and reusable code using Kotlin and Java.
• Integrate RESTful APIs, payment gateways and third-party services.
• Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces, including custom views and animations.
• Implement reactive programming patterns using RxJava.
• Develop unit tests and ensure software quality through continuous testing.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, UX/UI designers and backend engineers.
• Contribute to software architecture, technical documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and technical discussions.
