Ookla, an Accenture company, is seeking a Senior Android Software Engineer to own the Android SDKs (CQoE and Speedtest) used by carriers, partners, and internal apps. You will design, implement, and maintain features across Kotlin/Java, JNI/NDK, and a shared C++ engine.

You will debug native code, work across teams, and help bring AI-assisted tooling into coding, QA, and data analysis with a strong emphasis on safety and privacy.

Formación

• 5+ years of software development experience with strong data structures, algorithms and design patterns.
• Experience with Android using Kotlin and Java.
• Substantial experience building and maintaining SDKs or libraries.
• Strong data literacy: SQL to investigate production and measurement data, and Python for analysis.
• A curious, proactive stance toward AI and modern engineering practices.
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and data analysis skills.
• Strong time management and a self-driven work ethic.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain network measurement features in the CQoE and Speedtest Android SDKs for external partners, third-party apps, and internal client apps.
• Work across the JNI/NDK boundary into the shared C++ engine, debugging native code.
• Introduce AI-assisted tooling into coding, QA, and data analysis with safety, privacy and verification guardrails.
• Stay hands-on with architecture discussions, targeted implementation, and end-to-end delivery ownership.
• Roll out SDK and measurement changes with feature flags, quality checks, and post-release verification.
