What are we looking for?

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Android Mobile engineer to join our team as freelancer. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Android development using Kotlin and a passion for creating high-quality mobile applications. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to our team's success.

Main tasks and responsibilities :

• Apply SOLID principles and clean code practices to new features, and refactor legacy code to meet current standards.
• Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Kotlin.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and best practices.
• Write unit, integration, and UI tests to ensure code robustness and reliability.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues in existing Android applications.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Development and maintenance of existing and new libraries and SDKs.
• Optimizing application performance for a seamless and responsive user experience.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest Android development trends and technologies

The Ideal candidate will have :

• 8 years of professional experience in Android mobile development.
• Strong expertise in Kotlin, with a deep understanding of modern Android architecture components (e.g., Jetpack, ViewModel, LiveData, Room).
• Proficiency in writing clean, readable, and well-documented code.
• Familiarity with SOLID principles and Android frameworks such as Navigation Component, Dependency Injection, Flow, Contracts.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and modern declarative UI frameworks.
• Unit testing experience with Mock or JUnit.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts.

We would love to know more about you if you have :

• Interest in psychology and mental health.
• Fluency in English and native Spanish
• Familiarity with modular architecture.
• Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines (e.g., Gitlab CI / CD, Bitrise).
• Contributions to open-source or personal tech projects.

• Freelance contract (6 months with possibility to prolonged to 9)
• Full-time commitment : 40h / week
• Fully remote : Work from anywhere
