What are we looking for? We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Android Mobile Engineer to join our team as a freelancer. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Android development using Kotlin and a passion for creating high-quality mobile applications. We value eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to our team's success.

Main tasks and responsibilities include: applying SOLID principles and clean code practices to new features, refactoring legacy code to meet current standards, writing clean, efficient, and maintainable Kotlin code, participating in code reviews, writing unit, integration, and UI tests, troubleshooting and resolving issues in existing Android applications, mentoring junior engineers, developing and maintaining libraries and SDKs, optimizing application performance, and staying updated with Android development trends.

The ideal candidate will have: +8 years of professional Android development experience, strong expertise in Kotlin, familiarity with modern Android architecture components (Jetpack, ViewModel, LiveData, Room), proficiency in writing clear and documented code, knowledge of SOLID principles and frameworks like Navigation Component, Dependency Injection, Flow, Contracts, experience with Jetpack Compose, unit testing, version control systems like Git, effective teamwork skills, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication.

Additional preferred qualities include: interest in psychology and mental health, fluency in English and native Spanish, a bachelor’s degree or vocational training, familiarity with modular architecture, knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, Bitrise), and contributions to open-source projects.

What do we offer? A freelance contract for 6 months (with a possibility to extend to 9), full-time commitment (40h/week), fully remote work, competitive salary (€4,500–€5,000/month), and flexibility in managing your schedule.
