About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team and play a key role in advancing our central data platform. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the next level of maturity for our data infrastructure, focusing on implementing self-service capabilities and robust data governance, and enabling strategic business decisions. You will bring a problem-solving and data-oriented set of skills with deep technical knowledge of data treatment tools.

What will you be doing?

• Collaborate with internal technology teams to deliver data engineering / analytics capabilities.
• Design, build, and support data-centric services : event streaming, ETL pipelines, distributed data storage using Airflow, Apache Beam, BigQuery, and DBT.
• Apply software engineering best practices : testing, version control, CI / CD in GCP.
• Work with architects to ensure reliable, scalable, and robust data architecture.
• Enhance and scale the company's data warehouse.
• Build and design a self-service platform to promote data governance.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Fluent in Spanish & English, both verbal and written.
• Advanced Python programming skills.
• Strong knowledge of development best practices and tools.
• Experience with streaming and batch data ingestion.
• Experience with job orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
• Proficiency with SQL-like languages.
• Experience in data modeling and architecture with DBT or similar tools.
• Experience with analytical tools like Looker.
• High initiative and collaborative spirit.

What will make you stand out?

• Experience with GCP data technologies (Dataflow, Composer, BigQuery).
• Data testing and quality assurance experience.
• Experience working with stakeholders to generate insights.
