Lace Lithography is scaling up its team in Barcelona, Spain, to advance breakthrough chip lithography technology. We seek an expert AMO physicist who thrives in a collaborative environment and can tackle ill-defined problems beyond their specialization.

The role emphasizes laser cooling, atom beams, and hands-on lab work, with opportunities to mentor junior members and develop cross-disciplinary simulations.

Formación

• PhD or equivalent level in AMO physics or closely related field.
• Significant experience with laser cooling and manipulation of atoms.
• Direct experience with atom beams or supersonic sources.
• Hands-on lab experience in experimental setups.
• Significant publication record or strong thesis work.
• Ability to perform back-of-the-envelope calculations to assess physics/engineering problems.

Responsabilidades

• Develop theoretical models of laser cooling and manipulation of beams of metastable atoms.
• Work on general physics problems related to the production of cold intense beams of neutral atoms.
• Develop numerical models to validate theoretical models under realistic engineering constraints.
• Produce simulation tools to be used by other teams.
• Collaborate across teams on theoretical, simulation, and experimental projects.
• Produce and maintain high-quality documentation and code, and review code written by colleagues.
• Mentor junior team members.
