Kota is seeking a Senior AI Product Engineer to join our remote-first AI pod. You will design, build, and evaluate AI agent systems that enhance Kota's benefits data usage for employers and employees.

This is early-stage work with high ownership and architectural impact, collaborating closely with the AI Product Lead and Platform team across Kota's distributed engineering environment. You will own the data access, retrieval strategies, and integration with Metabase and internal APIs, while

Formación

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years on LLM/AI agent systems in production.
• Strong grasp of agent architecture, including context management, tool use, retrieval strategies, and prompt design.
• Experience building evaluation frameworks with golden datasets and regression testing.

Responsabilidades

• Design and ship AI agent systems end-to-end, owning data access layer and integration with Kota infrastructure.
• Build and own the evaluation framework from scratch, including datasets and regression harnesses; anticipate prompt and data boundary issues.
• Set the technical direction for AI at Kota and contribute to architecture decisions across the product.
• Collaborate with the AI Product Lead and Platform team to surface AI opportunities and raise engineering standards.
• Role is early-stage with room to grow and shape the pod.
