Job summary

Cross Border Talents is seeking a senior product designer to lead end-to-end design for a mobile-first, AI-driven consumer product. You will shape new surfaces from concept to shipped experience while working with founders and a small, fast-moving team.

You will own strategic design decisions, deliver high-quality visuals, and ship features across chat, character creation, monetisation and growth. This fully remote role is contractor-based with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of end-to-end consumer product design experience.
• Track record of designing and shipping mobile-first products at scale.
• Proven 01 experience, taking products or major features from idea to launch.
• Strong strategic product thinking with elite visual execution.
• A portfolio of polished, modern UI from real consumer products.
• Measurable product impact (growth, retention, conversion, engagement).
• Daily use of AI tools for design, prototyping or content generation, with clear tool/workflow explanations.
• Advanced Figma skills.
• Strong prototyping skills; able to prototype with tools or code.
• Experience working autonomously and owning product surfaces.
• Strong async communication in a fully remote team.
• Comfort working on 18+ mature product experiences.
• Willingness to start on a B2B / contractor basis.

About the role

We're building a large-scale, mobile-first consumer product at the frontier of AI: chat experiences, character creation, and live and interactive formats, including AI video. You'll need to be comfortable designing for adult audiences and content.

You'll join a small, fast-moving team, working directly with the Design Lead, Product Managers and founders. The role carries high ownership: you'll shape new product surfaces from first concept to shipped experience.

What we're looking for

We're looking for genuinely senior product designers with strong shipped-product portfolios, 01 experience, AI and prototyping exposure, and measurable product impact.

Essential

• 5+ years of end-to-end consumer product design experience
• A track record of designing and shipping mobile-first products at scale
• Proven 01 experience, taking products or major features from idea to launch
• Strong strategic product thinking combined with elite visual execution
• A portfolio of polished, modern, high-quality UI from real consumer products
• Demonstrable, measurable product impact (growth, retention, conversion, engagement or similar)
• Daily use of AI tools for design, prototyping or content generation, and the ability to clearly explain which tools and workflows you use
• Advanced Figma skills
• Strong prototyping skills, using design tools and/or code-based approaches
• Experience working autonomously and owning product surfaces
• Strong async communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fully remote team
• Comfort working on 18+ mature product experiences
• Willingness to start on a B2B / contractor basis

Nice to have

• Experience with dating, AI companionship, social or other mature consumer platforms
• Subscription, paywall or monetisation product experience
• Gamification experience
• Motion, 3D or illustration skills
• Front-end fluency in HTML, CSS or JavaScript
