Job summary

AstraZeneca plc seeks a Senior Engineer for Agentic AI in Oncology Data Science. The role centers on building AI-powered tools to accelerate cancer research, with focus areas in Genomics, Computational Pathology, and Clinical Trials.

You will drive automation of data analysis and deploy AI solutions to production pipelines. We look for strong Python/R skills, extensive ML experience, and a background in Unix/Linux, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

Qualifications

• Relevant graduate degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Physical Sciences.
• Extensive applied experience in data science, ML, AI engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on experience building Agentic AI systems.
• Strong Python/R programming skills.
• Experience with Unix/Linux and SQL databases; cloud computing (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with production ML deployment (Databricks) and model evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Build Agentic AI driven solutions addressing scientific research problems.
• Develop, test, and support Agentic tools for Genomics, Computational Pathology, and Clinical Trials.
• Automate complex data analysis processes and pipelines.
• Apply leading AI technologies to cancer research.
