We are seeking an outstanding individual with expertise in training large-scale AI models, including Large Language Models (LLMs) or equivalent architectures. This role involves developing and optimizing AI workloads in collaboration with hardware and software engineers in a co-design environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, train, and optimize large-scale AI models, including LLMs and similar architectures.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure efficient deployment on custom silicon solutions.
- Develop techniques to improve training efficiency, model accuracy, and hardware utilization.
- Implement distributed training strategies across high-performance computing infrastructures.
- Utilize programming skills in Python; knowledge of Go, C++ is a plus.
- Explore advanced AI/ML techniques such as sparsity, quantization, and knowledge distillation.
- Work with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, and Hugging Face Transformers.
- Conduct benchmarking and profiling of ML workloads on custom accelerators.
- Stay updated with advancements in deep learning and AI hardware to innovate within Openchip’s AI strategy.
- Participate in technical discussions and contribute to the AI research and development roadmap.
Qualifications :
- BSc, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or related fields.
- Proven experience in training and deploying large AI models, especially LLMs or similar architectures.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Experience with distributed training, model parallelism, and large-scale data handling.
- Deep understanding of model optimization techniques.
- Experience in a hardware/software co-design environment is desirable.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of European languages is a plus.
