Job summary

Ebury Madrid Office is seeking a Senior Internal Audit Manager to lead the Big Data and AI strategy for Internal Audit. You will embed advanced analytics, big data infrastructure, and AI into the audit lifecycle, linking data engineering with internal controls and governance across enterprise platforms.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data analytics, AI governance, or IT audit in financial services or tech, with credentials such as CISA/CCAK; CIA preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data analytics, AI governance, or IT audit with focus on Big Data platforms and ML models.
• Hands-on scripting with Python and SQL; experience with Snowflake, Spark, and AWS data ecosystems.
• Experience integrating AI tools into internal controls testing and model risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI governance and algorithmic assurance, evaluating ML/AI deployments for bias, explainability, and governance compliance.
• Audit Big Data architecture and data pipelines across Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS data lakes; assess lineage, ETL, and access controls.
• Design and implement continuous audit analytics using AI and ML to test full population datasets in real time.
• Ensure regulatory alignment (GDPR/CCPA, EU AI Act) and establish ethical AI evaluation criteria within internal controls.
