Allianz Technology is seeking an AI & Cloud Principal Engineer to shape data, AI, and cloud platforms across the Allianz Data Platform. You will lead enterprise-grade AI architectures, advise local teams, and influence global architectural decisions in a regulated environment.

The role blends technology strategy, platform engineering, and business impact, with a hybrid work model and a focus on secure, scalable AI adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required or equivalent.
• Strong experience with AI technologies (ML, LLMs, Agentic AI) and data platforms.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams and countries.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical thought leader for AI and Data Platform capabilities.
• Design, build, and evolve enterprise-grade AI and cloud architectures.
• Shape the Allianz Data Platform, including data, ML, and GenAI services.
• Advise local teams on best-practice usage of platform capabilities.
• Evaluate and onboard cloud providers and third-party services.
• Define and maintain standards and architectural guidelines for cloud and AI platforms.
