Pearson is hiring a Senior AI Engineer for the English Language Learning division. This role focuses on building backend services, APIs, and AI-enabled features for education products. You will work within a hybrid office setup and collaborate with data science and platform teams to deploy scalable AI solutions.

You will contribute to AI integrations, ensure quality through automated testing, and follow best practices in DevOps and security while delivering high-impact learning tools globally.

Formación

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and modern development practices.
• Hands-on Python development experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Familiarity with APIs, microservices, and backend services.
• Experience with AI-enabled products and LLM integration is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, test, and maintain backend components for digital products.
• Collaborate with product stakeholders and other engineers to deliver increments.
• Contribute to backend services, APIs, and microservices, including AI integration.
• Participate in code reviews, estimation, and planning.
• Support AI model integration and operationalization with data science teams.
• Apply CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and DevOps practices.
• Maintain technical documentation for features and procedures.
• Investigate and resolve defects and production issues.
• Share knowledge and improve team practices and product quality.
