Near U Ltd in Spain seeks a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to work closely with customer engineering and operations teams. You will apply agentic software development to deliver robust, production-grade software across embedded, industrial, automotive, and backend platforms.

Remote/hybrid with occasional customer visits is possible; EU passport or EU work eligibility is required. You will learn new technologies, share knowledge, and contribute to a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
• Senior-level software engineering experience with strong fundamentals in design, testing, version control, CI/CD and code quality.
• Proven hands-on project experience in agentic software development across full workflow.
• Domain experience in embedded, industrial/production, automotive, telecom, platform/backend or similar.
• Experience working close to customer engineering or operations, with ability to learn a new domain quickly.
• Strong professional English; other languages are a plus.
• EU passport or EU work eligibility; willingness to travel/onsite when required.
• Autonomous, pragmatic, and a strong communicator and team player.

Responsabilités

• Use AI agents to explore and understand existing, often complex, codebases
• Plan and implement code changes with agent-assisted workflows, while keeping ownership of quality and design
• Run tests, analyse results and iterate on the implementation based on them
• Work closely with customer engineering and operations teams to understand their domain and processes
• Turn domain requirements into robust, production-ready software
• Share agentic engineering practices with the team and contribute to a strong team spirit
