Job summary

MN8 Energy, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations for renewable energy portfolios.

You will ensure accurate recording of transactions under US GAAP, manage month-end close, and support SOX controls while coordinating with the accounting team. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in senior accounting roles, strong Excel and accounting software skills, and a solid IFRS/US GAAP background.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, or Senior Accountant.
• Thorough knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close process.
• Experience in supervising or coordinating with accounting staff.
• Fluency in English and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Post and process journal entries for projects and assigned companies.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals and close tasks.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and analyze intercompany items.
• Support for cash management and distributions.
• Oversee project finances and evaluate budget deviations.
• Review accounts payable and receivable for accuracy.
• Produce financial statements and reports for stakeholders.
• Recommend improvements to accounting systems and controls.
