YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to lead our accounts payable function and support broader accounting operations.

In this key role, you will manage the full accounts payable cycle, supervise a team of three accountants, and contribute to the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. This position requires strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and the ability to drive process improvements within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Based in our Madrid’s office, this role requires strong expertise in accounting and financial reporting, especially within mid-sized structures (international environment or financial services firm a plus).

YOUR TASKS

• Oversee and manage the entire accounts payable (procure-to-pay) cycle for the entire KC Group, ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments.
• Supervise, mentor, and coordinate the work of a team of 3 accountants within the AP function
• Collaborate with procurement and operational teams to optimize processes and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in AP and accounting operations.
• Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reporting.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to queries related to AP and general accounting.
• Participate in cross-functional finance projects as needed (e.g., ERP upgrades, automation initiatives, process harmonization).

YOUR PROFILE & SKILLS

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Internal Audit or a related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience, including experience managing a team.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP…).
• Fluency in French (written and spoken) is mandatory; good command of English is also required.
• Comfortable working in a small team with a hands-on, autonomous approach.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relations, both within and outside the organisation.
• Integrity and principles-based work ethics.
• Organized, thorough, detail oriented.
