The Role:

The Senior Accountant is accountable to deliver accurate and timely financial information from the point of transaction through to financial close and periodic external reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annually). This person will support all accounting processes, through effective, efficient and compliant finance processes, and in accordance with local and consolidated GAAP/IFRS.

The Senior Accountant will also work and report to the CFO, supervising staff members' work and taking care of the implementation of accounting policies, procedures and controls.

Responsibilities:
  1. Monthly Journal entry processing, review and approval.
  2. Coordinate the day to day activities of the Finance department (AP & AR).
  3. Prepare monthly financial reporting to meet group reporting deadlines.
  4. Prepare tax submissions and compulsory government surveys.
  5. Cashflow management.
  6. Billing.
  7. Payment process (AP & AR).
  8. Completion of month end accounting, including reconciliations, B/S and P/L preparation.
  9. Support data integrity and preparation of financial information to ensure completeness, accuracy, timeliness and accessibility of financial information.
  10. Sustain minimum effective controls in compliance with GAAP, IFRS and any other accounting pronouncements policies required.
  11. Assisting with financial and tax audits.
  12. Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments and directors.
  13. Training and mentoring junior staff.

Requirements:
  1. 5 years of general accounting experience in a complex global environment.
  2. Qualified Accountant with a minimum of five years experience in a finance function or a similar role in a Big 4.
  3. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a confidential and professional manner.
  4. Expert Microsoft Excel and numerical skills.
  5. ERP experience preferably Odoo.
  6. Analytical ability & eye for detail.
  7. High level of English & Spanish language skills.
  8. Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
  9. Good time-management skills.
