GR8_TECH, a fast-growing B2B iGaming tech partner, seeks an experienced GL Accountant to ensure financial integrity across multiple entities in a remote-first setup. You will own month-end close, consolidation, and audit readiness, while applying IFRS/GAAP and tax rules to currency crypto transactions.

You'll collaborate with external auditors, optimize internal controls, and streamline processes across revenue, payroll, and AP workflows.

Formación

• 4–5+ years of experience in GL accounting, audit or financial reporting in a multi-entity international setup.
• Strong command of IFRS/GAAP, reconciliation disciplines, and financial consolidation mechanics.
• Proven track record with statutory audits and standalone financial statements.
• Practical tax literacy: corporate income tax, withholding tax, EU VAT (reverse charge).
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP accounting proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end month-end and year-end close across entities, including entries and accruals.
• Perform balance sheet and P&L variance analyses and ensure audit-ready books.
• Conduct AR/AP and counterparty reconciliation checks at reporting cutoffs.
• Manage cryptocurrency asset valuation, accounting and presentation per standards.

Why This Role Exists

This role exists to guarantee financial integrity and audit readiness across our multi-entity setup. You’ll help us scale sustainably by taking end-to-end ownership of the general ledger, accelerating the month-end close cycle, and turning complex statutory, tax, and crypto transactions into reliable reporting.

What You’ll Drive

Close Execution & General Ledger

• Own the end-to-end month-end and year-end close cycles across assigned legal entities, ensuring GL entries, accruals, and adjustments are completed on schedule.
• Drive balance sheet and P&L variance analyses, identifying discrepancies early and keeping books permanently audit-ready.
• Perform thorough AR/AP and counterparty reconciliation checks at each reporting cutoff to ensure balance sheet completeness.
• Manage the valuation, accounting, and presentation of cryptocurrency assets in compliance with relevant accounting standards.

Reporting, Consolidation & Audits

• Execute multi-entity financial consolidation to support clean, unified group-level reporting.
• Prepare standalone statutory financial statements, documentation, and schedules for external audit procedures.
• Partner directly with external auditors to walk through accounting treatments, resolve findings, and close audits without delays.

Process Optimization & Internal Controls

• Streamline manual accounting steps, cutting close turnaround times and eliminating month-end bottlenecks.
• Design and implement standardized Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal controls that mitigate financial reporting risk.
• Align with revenue, payroll, and AP teams to enforce seamless upstream data flow into the general ledger.

Tax Compliance & Risk Mitigation

• Monitor and calculate corporate tax provisions, withholding taxes, and statutory contributions across our primary jurisdictions.
• Apply cross-border EU VAT principles (including reverse charge) and leverage specialized regimes (e.g., IP Box) to support tax efficiency.
• Analyze commercial contracts for embedded tax exposures and recommend practical mitigations before signing.

What Makes You a GR8 Fit

Must-have

• 4–5+ years of experience in GL accounting, audit, or financial reporting within an international, multi-entity setup.
• Solid command of IFRS / GAAP principles, account reconciliation disciplines, and financial consolidation mechanics.
• Proven track record managing statutory audits and compiling audit-ready standalone financial statements.
• Practical tax literacy: Working knowledge of corporate income tax, withholding tax, and EU VAT mechanics (notably reverse charge mechanisms).
• Advanced Excel skills and practical experience navigating standard ERP/accounting platforms.
• High autonomy and analytical rigour: Demonstrated ability to spot discrepancies, run variance root-cause analyses, and hit closing deadlines under pressure.
• Language proficiency: Upper-Intermediate English, Upper-Intermediate Ukrainian or Russian for smooth cross-border collaboration.

Nice-to-have

• Direct experience handling cryptocurrency asset accounting, token transactions, and balance-sheet valuation.
• Exposure to tech, iGaming, fintech, or other high-velocity, high-risk sectors.
• Background participating in ERP implementations or accounting automation projects.
• Familiarity with IP Box tax regimes and Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements (DTAAs).
