United Search offers a great opportunity with AMI, a leader in in-flight food and beverage solutions for airlines. Based primarily in the USA (Atlanta and Santa Monica), with Barcelona as its European office, AMI serves top international customers and partners with leading FMCG brands. AMI is looking for an Accountant to join and strengthen its accounting team located between Barcelona and Santa Monica (California, USA). This role reports to the Chief Accountant based in Santa Monica and will support various legal entities, ensuring proper accounting management, compliance, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Chief Accountant in month-end closing activities.
2. Reconcile and adjust inventory and item records.
3. Oversee intercompany transaction reconciliation, ensuring billbacks between companies.
4. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
5. Conduct monthly General Ledger reviews for divisions and departments.
6. Manage fixed asset and depreciation schedules.
7. Maintain balance sheet schedules to align the General Ledger with account details.
8. Ensure liability insurance (Certificates of Insurance) from suppliers are updated.
9. Support annual tax planning and filing processes.
10. Assist with other ad-hoc accounting projects as assigned.

Skills required for the position:

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting & 5-10 years of experience in general accounting, ideally across different industries; manufacturing experience is a plus.
2. Highly autonomous, hands-on, and solution-driven.
3. Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
4. Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting effectively in English with all levels of management. Spanish is not mandatory for this role.
5. Knowledge of GAAP or IAS will be a plus.
6. Experience with Microsoft NAV is preferred.
7. Ability to travel twice per year to the United States, as most of the activity is based there.
