Formación

The Role:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial information from transaction to financial close and external reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually). This role supports all accounting processes, ensuring they are effective, efficient, and compliant with local and consolidated GAAP/IFRS standards. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the CFO, supervise staff, and oversee the implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and controls.

Responsibilities:

  1. Process, review, and approve monthly journal entries.
  2. Coordinate daily activities of the Finance department (AP & AR).
  3. Prepare monthly financial reports to meet group deadlines.
  4. Handle tax submissions and government surveys.
  5. Manage cash flow.
  6. Oversee billing and payment processes (AP & AR).
  7. Complete month-end accounting, including reconciliations, B/S, and P/L preparation.
  8. Ensure data integrity and prepare financial information for accuracy, completeness, and accessibility.
  9. Maintain effective controls in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other policies.
  10. Assist with financial and tax audits.
  11. Coordinate complex accounting projects with team members and other departments.
  12. Train and mentor junior staff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of general accounting experience in a complex, global environment.
  • Qualified Accountant with experience in a finance function or similar role, preferably in a Big 4 firm.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and numerical skills.
  • ERP experience, preferably with Odoo.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • High proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good time management skills.
