This job can be based in London, Munich, or Madrid.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our EU Books team. In this senior role, you will serve as the EU lead Account Manager for our Amazon Vendor Service (AVS) program, managing our most strategic vendors in Books, acting as a consultant and influential partner for senior stakeholders to drive long-term growth. Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) is a paid B2B service that helps grow complex publishers on Amazon. As a Senior Account Manager, you will have holistic exposure to e-commerce operations at a European level. Your key responsibilities include managing top vendor accounts, delivering high-quality account management, influencing cross-functional teams, and developing strategic partnerships to enhance vendor and customer experiences. You will also lead projects across EU Books and collaborate with internal teams to identify new business opportunities and innovative solutions.

Key job responsibilities

Core Service

  • Impact vendor-level and cross-divisional projects in Marketing & Promotions, Selection & IDQ, and Availability & Operational Excellence, scaling best practices across Books.
  • Develop and nurture strategic, long-term vendor relationships, maximizing vendor satisfaction.
  • Identify impactful business opportunities by working backward from vendor and customer needs.
  • Design and execute business strategies across multiple marketplaces, coordinating large cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee team productivity and strategic direction for vendor priorities.
  • Set and audit success metrics for your accounts, removing blockers and ensuring success.
  • Provide strategic insights based on industry expertise to shape long-term partnerships.
  • Identify growth opportunities and create customized scaling solutions.
  • Partner with internal teams to drive strategic vendor discussions.

Project Work

  • Lead key projects within EU Books and the retail or AVS organization, delivering end-to-end results.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or similar.
  • Experience in Retail or E-Commerce Account Management, including buying, sales, merchandising, marketing, operations, or logistics.
  • Experience managing a business with P&L responsibilities.
  • Effective communication skills with diverse functional groups.
  • Proven results in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Strong relationship-building skills internally and externally.
  • Experience managing large-scale projects with big teams.
  • Excellent English communication skills (C1 level or higher).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Spanish or German.
  • Experience with analytical and productivity tools like Salesforce, Google Analytics, SQL, HTML.
  • Data analysis, reporting, and forecasting skills.
  • Master’s / MBA from a leading business school is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and results-driven approach.
  • Experience in the Books industry is highly beneficial.
