Security Program Manager, Data Center Security

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Center Operations Security Team is seeking a highly talented and motivated physical Security Program Manager (SPM) to join our team.

The position is responsible for the design, installation, and integration of security systems equipment, including but not limited to, Access Control / Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems.

The ideal candidate will be willing and able to work across all related disciplines, from technology research to system design, oversight of construction and implementation, as well as maintenance and upgrades over the system's lifecycle. You should have in-depth knowledge of security technology, be innovative, highly organized, and demonstrate the ability to deliver results on time and within budget.

The SPM is a key member of the European Security team, reporting to the Multi-Cluster Security Program Manager. The SPM supervises compliance with physical security standards, manages Physical Security Projects, serves on cross-functional teams, and is considered a Subject Matter Expert in all facets of Physical Security.

The success of the SPM will be measured by their contribution to developing, implementing, and commissioning standardized security infrastructure systems for the AWS region. This includes achieving objectives related to customer service quality, access control effectiveness, and the protection of our customers' data, employees, and visitors. The position ensures adherence to Physical Security Standards and Programs that support the Global Physical Security Team's goals while enabling local Security Managers to access related services independently.

AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for designing, planning, delivering, and operating all AWS global infrastructure, including data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment, ensuring continuous customer access to cloud services. We tackle challenging problems with numerous variables impacting the supply chain and seek talented individuals eager to contribute.

You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. Collaboration across AWS is essential to uphold the highest safety and security standards while providing extensive capacity at minimal cost. Key job responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement solutions for system installations, upgrades, repairs, and change-outs.
  • Ensure compliance with physical security project standards, project scopes of work, budgets, and timelines.
  • Manage the installation, operation, and maintenance of regional and/or global physical security systems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and operate seamlessly across organizational boundaries.
  • Support security system equipment commissioning.
  • Complete final testing and acceptance of security systems.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs to security system equipment.
  • Develop and deploy training programs for all users of physical security systems.
  • Minimum of five years experience managing the operation and installation of regional and/or global physical security systems.
  • Experience as a Physical Security Program Manager for large and complex installations.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Security Integrator industry.
  • Certifications such as CPP, PSP, or CISSP.
  • Strong knowledge in the design of security systems.
  • Certification in LenelS2 Access Control Systems.
  • Extensive experience in corporate security and workplace safety.
