What We're Looking For

Welltech’s success and constant growth are increasingly introducing new challenges to the security of our products. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior / Staff Security Engineer to lead our security initiatives and advance our security strategy.

Responsibilities:

1. Team Management & Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of three security engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative environment.
2. Security Strategy Development: Design and implement security strategies aligned with business goals and technology roadmaps, integrating security into organizational practices.
3. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks, communicating findings to senior leadership.
4. Security Observability: Lead the transition to in-house security monitoring capabilities using Datadog and PagerDuty.
5. Incident Response: Establish and oversee an incident response protocol for swift action on security incidents.
6. Data Security Innovation: Collaborate with the Privacy team to develop data security policies compliant with industry standards.
7. Certification & Compliance: Lead efforts to achieve and maintain PCI DSS certification and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 5 years in Security Engineering roles.
2. At least 2 years leading security engineering teams.
3. Experience managing large-scale security projects and initiatives.
4. Proven track record in data security initiatives and incident response.
5. Knowledge of regulatory standards such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001.
6. Technical proficiency in security-focused coding, Datadog, PagerDuty, and AWS security frameworks.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication skills to articulate security issues to diverse audiences.
