Role Overview :

As the Director of Security Architecture and Engineering, you will shape and execute our enterprise security strategy. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of our security architecture and engineering practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.

Sub-functions responsible for :

• Security Architecture
• Security Engineering
• Identity and Access Management

Key Responsibilities :

1. Security Architecture Leadership : Develop and maintain the company's security architecture framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry standards.
2. Engineering Oversight : Lead a team of security engineers in designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across the organization.
3. Threat Intelligence : Monitor cyber threats and vulnerabilities, integrating threat intelligence into security strategies.
4. Security Technology Roadmap : Establish and manage the security technology roadmap, promoting adoption of emerging security technologies.
5. Collaboration : Build relationships with senior stakeholders to align security initiatives with business and technology strategies.
6. Team Development : Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing cybersecurity team, fostering continuous learning and collaboration.
7. Budget & Vendor Management : Oversee security budgets and vendor relationships, ensuring effective resource allocation and procurement.

Qualifications and Skills :

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Proven leadership in security architecture and engineering roles.
• Deep knowledge of security principles, protocols, and technologies.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
• Industry certifications like SABSA, CISSP are highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to assess complex security situations and make informed decisions.
