The Position

Mission

As a Chapter Section Lead, you will focus on capabilities development of your section members that align with the chapter vision. You will encourage your team to define their career journey and seek ways to enable development opportunities aligned with their aspirations. You will have an understanding of the roles within your section to provide mentorship when needed.

What you'll be working on

The Infrastructure Reliability Engineering Chapter includes capabilities in software engineering, system engineering, and system administration focused on designing, delivering, and maintaining a stable technology foundation for the organization. It develops and maintains capabilities to build and manage systems with high automation, consumable as code by other applications and solutions related to Databases, Networking, Compute Platforms, and Storage.

Network Management focuses on managing capabilities and skills to efficiently evolve networking technologies, including Connectivity, Unified Collaboration, and Contact Center technologies.

Stakeholder Management and Partnering
  • Understand current and future needs of the domains to develop the chapter's strategic direction in collaboration with chapter leadership.
  • Partner with Practice Owners to implement guidelines, frameworks, and practices.
  • Ensure resource availability for demand intake to meet stakeholder needs and priorities.
Leadership and Influence
  • People management and coaching: evaluate, promote, coach, and develop chapter members.
  • Seek feedback on chapter members and act accordingly.
Resource and Portfolio Management
  • Co-create and maintain chapter strategy and workforce planning to develop capabilities and skills.
  • Serve as a squad member to address business opportunities.
  • Allocate talent to roles in squads, ensuring deployment to value creation opportunities.
  • Monitor and improve demand intake processes for effective resource mobilization.
  • Foster an environment for standards and best practices development and sharing.
  • Continuously improve chapter capabilities for value creation.
What you'll need to be successful
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience and relevant chapter knowledge.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree.
  • Servant and creative leadership (VACC) behavior.
  • Lean-Agile mindset.
  • Experience in building high-performing teams.
  • Passion for major IT trends and a keen market focus.
  • Strong business acumen, ability to navigate ambiguity, and manage complexity.
  • Risk management skills that lead to opportunities.

  • Willingness to travel minimally via virtual methods.
  • This role spans multiple global grades (PL7, PL8).
