Formación

Job Offer Details: Secondary ELD Teacher - Paternity Cover, from 14-10-2024 to 29-10-2024, in Cádiz, San Roque.

Role Overview: We seek a knowledgeable and enthusiastic teacher to join our successful English Language Development team. The ideal candidate will inspire students, support curriculum development, and adapt schemes of work to enhance English language acquisition, fostering an inclusive and intercultural school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated English language lessons to secondary students, utilizing diverse instructional strategies.
  • Design and implement lesson plans, assessments, and unit plans with clear objectives and scaffolding.
  • Create a supportive, inclusive environment encouraging authentic communication and risk-taking.
  • Enhance academic proficiency of English language learners across all curricula.
  • Provide constructive feedback and collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Utilize technology effectively (Apple Technology School) to enrich learning.
  • Stay updated on research and best practices in English language teaching and IB education.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school initiatives to promote a positive school culture.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, English Language Teaching, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Teaching certification/licence or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching English at the secondary level, preferably in IB or international schools.
  • Knowledge of IB MYP and DP frameworks is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of language acquisition, pedagogy, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset.
  • Experience with educational technology and digital platforms.
  • Master’s in Teacher Training or C.A.P. preferred.

Contract Details:

  • Full-time position.
  • Salary according to the collective agreement.
