italki, a global language learning community, seeks a Software Development Engineer in Test to enhance quality, reliability, and testability of its software products. You will craft test frameworks, build internal tools, and collaborate across teams to strengthen testing throughout the development lifecycle.

You will design automated tests for APIs, integrations, and critical user flows, working with engineers to improve testability and release quality in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Strong software development and coding skills.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and design.
• Hands-on experience developing automated tests and testing frameworks.
• Experience testing APIs, services, web or application functionality, and integrations.
• Ability to read application code and collaborate with engineers on issues.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and automated testing practices.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks and tools.
• Write production-quality test code for APIs, services, and user journeys.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve testability and define testing strategies.
• Develop automated tests to support CI/CD workflows.
• Investigate defects, analyze root causes, and improve product reliability.
• Contribute to code reviews and testing architecture discussions.
• Improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and reliability.
• Identify opportunities to build internal testing tools and reusable solutions.
• Use testing data to identify recurring issues and suggest process improvements.
