As a PhD candidate, you will have the unique opportunity to be part of our Advanced Technology research group, in the Materials and Structural Analysis Division. Our focus is on digital science research, particularly in the field of algorithms and deep learning methods development for computer vision and simulation for electron microscopy. Join our international team with primary offices located in Bordeaux, France; Eindhoven, The Netherlands; Brno, Czech Republic; and Portland, Oregon, USA.

We are seeking a highly skilled student with a robust background in computer science, algorithms, and deep learning. In this role, you will engage in active collaboration with our academic partners and will be responsible for developing groundbreaking deep learning solutions for the processing and analysis of Cryo-ET images.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct independent research and contribute to ongoing projects
• Generate functional prototypes
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including scientists and engineers
• Actively collaborate with our academic partners
• Prepare and present research findings at internal and academic conferences
• Write and publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field

Requirements :

• Proficiency in Python, specifically with PyTorch
• Experience with Git and version control management
• Strong educational background in image processing and deep learning
• Solid foundation in signal processing, applied mathematics, or applied physics
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team
