The Methodology Group at ALBA Synchrotron is seeking a skilled data scientist/software developer to design and implement end-to-end data analysis pipelines for beamline and electron microscopy data. You will work on integrating X-ray diffraction with spectroscopy, tomography, and 4D‑STEM in robust, reusable workflows.

You will adapt tools for broad usage, automate workflows on local or cloud resources, and contribute to FAIR data practices while collaborating with multiple divisions and external

Formación

• Master’s degree in a relevant field as stated.
• At least 2 years of demonstrable professional or research experience in data analysis or scientific software development.
• Programming in Python (or equivalent language) for data processing.

Responsabilidades

• Design end‑to‑end data analysis pipelines for data from beamlines and EM facilities.
• Develop data analysis workflows in pilot projects for testing and validation.
• Modularize toolchains into reusable software components and document them.
