ALBA is a Spanish synchrotron light source located in Catalonia, near Barcelona. We seek a Beamline Scientist to lead computational imaging and data analysis for CoDI, working across experiment design, data acquisition, image reconstruction and HPC.

The role offers the chance to shape imaging methods and collaborate with national and European projects. The successful candidate will contribute to developing core workflows, data architecture, and computing strategies within a multidisciplinary

Formación

• PhD or equivalent professional experience in a related discipline.
• At least one year of demonstrated experience in computational methods and data analysis.
• At least one year of practical programming experience for scientific applications, preferably using Python.

Responsabilidades

• Design, construct and operate the CoDI beamline, focusing on its scientific and computational imaging programme.
• Co-lead the design and deployment of CoDI’s computational imaging framework in collaboration with the Methodology group and Computing Division.
• Develop, implement, and optimize algorithms and data-processing modules for coherent diffraction imaging and related techniques.
