ALBA Synchrotron invites applications for a Beamline Scientist to lead computational imaging at the CoDI beamline. You will design and deploy imaging workflows, support experiments, and collaborate across the Methodology group and Computing Division to advance coherent X-ray imaging.

You will develop algorithms for Bragg coherent diffraction imaging, ptychography, and holography, manage data architecture, and contribute to user programs while mentoring junior researchers in a multidisciplinary

Formación

• Hold a PhD (or equivalent professional experience) in a relevant discipline.
• Have at least one year of demonstrated experience in computational methods and data analysis for scientific research.
• Have at least one year of practical programming experience for scientific applications (Python preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Lead design, construction and operation of the CoDI beamline’s imaging programme.
• Co-lead the deployment of CoDI's computational imaging framework with Methodology and Computing divisions.
• Develop, implement, and optimize algorithms for coherent diffraction imaging and related techniques.
• Define data architecture and computing strategies to support imaging workflows.
• Participate in the development and implementation of the CoDI user programme.
• Provide scientific and technical support to users as a local contact or beamline specialist.
• Collaborate with the wider CoDI programme and external partners.
