We're looking for a Lead Software Engineer to help product teams seamlessly integrate AI into their offerings. You'll design and implement robust backend systems, collaborate with customers, and mentor engineers to deliver impactful solutions. If you're skilled in Java, Python, cloud platforms, and eager to integrate AI/ML into production, this is your chance to shape the future of intelligent software.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
2. 6 Years of Relevant Experience
3. Skills: Java, Python, experience developing robust APIs using modern frameworks.
4. Knowledge of Cloud Platforms such as AWS or Azure
5. Knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, etc.
6. Willingness to learn new technologies, such as AI/ML libraries and methodologies.
7. Deep understanding of back-end development best practices.
8. Flexibility to work within a globally distributed team.

It would be great if you also had:

1. Knowledge of AI/ML models and integrating these in production environments.
2. Knowledge of data modeling and transformation, and experience working with ETL tools and frameworks such as Apache Airflow.
3. Experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment).

Product you will be developing

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of AI across our Life Sciences & Healthcare (LS&H) business. As part of the newly formed AI Innovation team, you will work on building robust back-end systems for high-impact AI use cases—helping us deliver smarter, more scalable solutions to our customers.

You will work closely with product, data science, and architecture teams to ensure AI capabilities are aligned with business goals and integrated effectively across our portfolio.

As part of the AI Innovation team, you will work closely with product, data science, and architecture teams from different global locations.

Hours of Work

This is a hybrid position based at our Barcelona office. Working hours will align with the local time zone (CET).
